G20

Hamburg 7. – 8. Juli 2017
The clouds of smoke in the city are long gone, the burned-out cars have been towed away,

the snipers in their barracks, the police helicopters parked and the press photographers moved on.
The G20 summit in Hamburg from 7 to 8 July 2017 is history.
The images of senseless violence hide those of lived democracy. Several ten thousand were resentful
on the streets that their city was used for a demonstration of power by the global political elite.
A second, detached view of what is happening in early July is worthwhile. Because Hamburg is everywhere.
It is a global phenomenon. Politics are increasingly taking place without citizens.
